ACLEDA innovation will enable people to open accounts virtually
ACLEDA launches their Digital Branches with ADERA’s Digital Automation Solutions, cuts more than 90% of customer wait time.

As part of ACLEDA Bank’s digitalisation agenda, ACLEDA has partnered with ADERA to roll out self-service automation banking services to their customers. With the implementation of ADERA’s Virtual Teller Machine, customers of the bank can now open accounts, apply for financial services and get bank card issuance instantly. The implementation includes biometric authentication integration; customers can conduct instant and self-service eKYC via the kiosks with their ID card/passport using facial recognition, fingerprint and e-signature before proceeding to conduct any financial services. ADERA makes the processes as simple and efficient as possible, eliminating long processing time and manual documentation via traditional counters.
With these ADERA deployments, ACLEDA Bank is the first Cambodian bank to offer such a digital solution that have reduced customer wait times by as much as 90% time for accounts opening and other banking services.
“Before customers would have to come to the bank counter to open an account and apply for an ATM card. Their request would take about three days to process, but now there is no need to wait. Customers can open accounts and request the ATM Classic Card immediately via the VTM.” Said Sok Sophea, Senior Vice President and Head of Marketing of ACLEDA Bank.
